What a strong contractor estimate includes

A useful estimate makes the proposed work easy to understand. Include itemized services, quantities, unit rates, the job location, scope, exclusions, validity period, taxes, deposit requirements, and payment terms.

How the calculation works

Line items are calculated as quantity × unit price. Markup is added to the subtotal, discount is deducted, additional fees are included, and tax is calculated on the resulting taxable amount. Currency values are rounded to cents.
